Deauville yearling Sales has been a happy hunting ground. We bought recent Listed /Group race winners there in CHANTILLY BEAUTY and BELLE ALLURE aswell as multiple winners, amongst them the Group-placed performers, SISTER MOONSHINE, MALAICA (3rd in Albany stakes at Royal Ascot) and LIGHT OF JOY. It is interesting to note that of the above-named, four of these cost 30,000 Euros or less !! There really are still good things coming in small packages.

Rupert will be looking to be active again at many of the European yearling Sales, which is just around the corner. He buys with some of the leading Bloodstock agents in Ireland, England and France who have helped us to produce plenty of winners since starting up as a Trainer. Incentives for having horses trained in France

Transport for the horses racing at all PMU race meetings, which makes up just over 80% of my runners per year, is subsidised by France Galop. This means that when we have runners at race-courses at places ranging from Dieppe to Marseille, the Owners will not receive an invoice for all the kilometres travelled. Nowhere else in Europe will you find such attractive incentives.

Prize-money levels have been going up in France by more than 5% every year for at least four years now. This trend is set to continue in 2009. A fine example of this is when the 2-year-old one of our owners won a 6 furlong event worth €14,500 to the winner. On top of this prize money, another €10,800 was added because the horse was a French-bred, which entitled her to a 75% premium, in ALL races that are not restricted to French-bred horses. No-one should need any more encouragement to buy horses in France with us!
